How It Works
Capacitive sensing detects a change in the electrical properties on the other side of a compatible tank wall. Multiple sensing points can be mounted at different heights to provide stepped level information without putting a probe into the stored water.
Best For
This approach is most attractive on compatible plastic tinacos and tanks where external mounting is easy and drilling or internal access is undesirable. Concrete and metal tanks generally call for a different sensing technology.
The Cost Advantage
Capacitive sensing can be a simple entry point for low-level alerts and basic level bands when full continuous measurement is not required. MirAqua matches the sensor type to the tank rather than forcing one technology onto every installation.
